Tuna Noodle Salad

A simple and easy to make salad recipe for those busy summer days. It is best if made the day before but can be made the same day.

Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl with lid preferred
  • 1 1-2qt saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Elbo macaroni optional- any macaroni noodles will be fine
  • 1 can Tuna
  • 2.5 oz Sliced black olives
  • 1 cup Sliced carrots can also use carrot slivers- ½ bag.
  • ½ cup Diced pickles
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Seasoning Base*

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package
    2 cups Elbo macaroni
  • While pasta is cooking, put all remaining ingredients in a medium/large bowl
    1 can Tuna, 2.5 oz Sliced black olives, 1 cup Sliced carrots, ½ cup Diced pickles, ½ cup mayonnaise, Seasoning Base*
  • Add any optional ingredients as desired.
  • Once pasta is finished cooking, drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Add to remaining ingredients and stir, making sure to "fold" the pasta so not to smash the noodles
  • Cover and place in fridge for 1-2hrs or until you are ready to serve.

*Before serving give one last stir if salad seems dry add more mayonnaise until desired moisture is reached*

    Notes

    Optional Ingredients
    • peas
    • corn
    • broccoli
    • celery
    • cheddar cheese chunks (or any cheese of your choice)

    -This dish is best served cold, if making same day make sure to allow 1-2hrs of refrigerator time. However if you are planning this ahead of time it is best if made the night before so it can refrigerate overnight-
