Ingredients
  

  • 1 can Pilsbury Grands Biscuits *Use two cans if you want more than 8 servings
  • 15 oz Manwhich sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese optional
  • *Seasoning base

Make your own sloppy joe sauce!

McCormick Sloppy Joe Sauce

  • 1 packet McCormick Sloppy Joe seasoning
  • cup water
  • 6 oz tomato paste

Sloppy Joe sauce from scratch

  • ¼  tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • dash Tabasco sauce optional
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • cup water
  • cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic paste or 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F
  • In non-stick frying pan cook ground beef until browned or internal temperature reaches 160 °F
    1 lb Ground Beef
  • Add Manwhich sloppy joe sauce. Season to taste.
    15 oz Manwhich sloppy joe sauce, *Seasoning base

Make your own sloppy joe sauce!

    McCormick Sloppy Joe Sauce

    • After meat has browned add McCormick Sloppy Joe Seasoning packet
      1 packet McCormick Sloppy Joe seasoning
    • Add water and tomato paste
      1¼ cup water, 6 oz tomato paste

    Sloppy Joe Sauce from Scratch

    • After meat has browned add tomato paste and garlic paste, stir
      1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tsp garlic paste
    • Now add ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt, red pepper flakes and ground black pepper. Stir until well combined.
      ¼  tsp ground black pepper, ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, dash Tabasco sauce, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce, ¾ tsp chili powder, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tbsp brown sugar, ⅓ cup water, ⅔ cup ketchup

    Continue to next steps......

    • Cook additional 5mins, allow the sauce to soak up in the meat or it will make the biscuits soft.
    • Grease muffin pan with cooking spray or use a non-stick muffin pan
    • Open biscuits and place in muffin pan making sure to press each biscuit up along the sides of the pan.
      1 can Pilsbury Grands Biscuits
    • Now add your sloppy joe meat to the biscuits, filling the cut to just a ¼" from the rim (do not fill to the top) of each cup
    • Bake for 13-17mins or until golden brown around the edges
    • Add shredded cheese on top and bake for another 5mins until melted and crispy on top
      1 cup Shredded cheese
