  • 2 Round cooling rack
  • 1 Medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Icing Spatula
  • Baking spray

Ingredients

  • 1 box Cake mix Any cake mix will work
  • 1 bag Medium Marshmallows You can also get 1 bag of small marshmallows and alternate.
  • 2 tubs White frosting
  • Pink sugar crystals
  • 1 tube Mini black frosting
  • 1 tube Mini pink frosting Candy or Heart confetti for the nose

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F
  • Prepare round cake pans with Baking Spray and set aside
  • In a medium bowl make cake mix according to directions on box
    1 box Cake mix
  • Bake for time allowed per size of pan you chose.
  • Do the toothpick test, if the toothpick comes out clean, take cake out and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from cake pans and set on cooling racks until completely cooled
  • When cake is completely cooled place on desired cake stand, flat dish, or board that you want to display your lamb cake on.
  • Using a frosting spatula, start with a crumb coat of white frosting. Once crumb coat is on, with remaining frosting finish frosting the cake until cake is completely covered.
    2 tubs White frosting
  • Once the cake is frosted, take the marshmallows and start placing them on the top edge, making 2-3 rows. This will create the top of the head. Make sure on each side to leave a small space where you would like to place the ears.
    1 bag Medium Marshmallows
  • Following the shape of the cake, place a single row of marshmallows to finish the face. You can alternate using both medium and small marshmallows.
  • Once you have your desired thickness for the shape of the face, continue with the marshmallows on the side of the cake.
    1 bag Medium Marshmallows
  • Once you have the desired amount of marshmallow coverage, take one marshmallow and cut it in half from one corner of the marshmallow to the other corner. This should give you two diamond shaped halves.
  • On a small plate or even a paper towel, place a small mound of Pink sugar Crystals. Dip the diamond halves in the crystals making sure you are putting the sticky marshmallow side down.

  • Using mini tubes of black and pink frosting, draw the eyes, nose, and mouth. You can also use heart confetti or candy such as pastel M&M's etc. for the nose.
