Guinness Dark Chocolate Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Buttercream
Who doesn't love Chocolate? And Dark Chocolate at that. Or better yet who doesn't love Cake? Everybody loves Cake! But Guinness Dark Chocolate Cake with Irish Cream Buttercream! Heaven!

Cake
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 3 oz dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup Guinness Beer
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 large eggs
Irish Cream Liqueur Buttercream
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 50 ml Irish Cream Liqueur
Preheat oven to 350 °F
In a medium bowl sift together all dry ingredients and set aside. 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda
In a saucepan melt butter and chocolate chips over medium-high heat stirring until completely melted.
¼ cup unsalted butter, 3 oz dark chocolate chips
Gradually add sugar and stir until dissolved
1 cup sugar
Remove from heat and let cool for 5mins
Add Guinness, vanilla, and egg to chocolate and stir until smooth. 1 cup Guinness Beer, 1 tsp Vanilla extract, 1 large eggs
Slowly add chocolate to dry ingredients and stir until combined, making sure to scrape sides and bottom of bowl.
Pour batter into greased cake pan and bake for 25-30mins until toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool completely in pan
Using a stand-up mixer or hand mixer cream butter on high speed until light and fluffy 1 cup Unsalted Butter
Turn to low speed and add Irish Cream Liqueur continue mixing until combined. 50 ml Irish Cream Liqueur
Turn to medium speed and1 cup at a time add powdered sugar, mixing thoroughly after each cup.
3 cups Powdered Sugar
Do a taste test until the desired flavor is met. Side note: if you add more Irish Cream Liqueur make sure you add an extra tbsp of powdered sugar, or the buttercream will become too thin. Transfer cake from pan to cake plate or platter to add buttercream
Put buttercream in piping bag and pipe on cake or drop and spread around for a smooth covering.
