Adult Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Who says adults can't enjoy some Peppermint Hot Coca with a little twist.

Equipment

  • 1 Heat resistant mug/cup Microwave safe mug/cup
  • 1 Tea kettle

Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet Hot Cocoa mix
  • Mini Marshmallows optional
  • 50 ml Peppermint Schnapps Smirnoff Peppermint Twist Vodka
  • 7 oz Hot Water
  • 1 Peppermint Stick

Instructions
 

Stove Top

  • Boil water on stove in tea kettle
    7 oz Hot Water
  • Add Hot Cocoa mix to mug/cup, add water and stir until mixed.
    1 packet Hot Cocoa mix
  • Add shot of Peppermint Schnapps or Peppermint Twist Vodka and stir again
    50 ml Peppermint Schnapps
  • Top with mini marshmallows and peppermint stick to garnish if desired.
    Mini Marshmallows, 1 Peppermint Stick

Microwave

  • Add Hot Cocoa packet and water to microwave safe mug/cup
    1 packet Hot Cocoa mix, 7 oz Hot Water
  • Put in microwave and heat for 1min.
  • Take out of microwave *caution mug/cup will be hot* stir and check temperature carefully to make sure it is to your liking. If not hot enough put back into microwave for an additional 30-60secs.
  • Remove from microwave *caution mug/cup will be hot* let stand for 1-2mins, add Peppermint Schnapps/Peppermint Twist Vodka
    50 ml Peppermint Schnapps
  • Top with mini marshmallows and peppermint stick to garnish if desired.

Notes

ABV% will differ depending on if you choose Vodka versus Schnapps and what proof of Schnapps.
 
Schnapps is between 90-100 proof
Smirnoff Peppermint Twist Vodka is only 60 proof
