Wine and Champagne

To be able to enjoy wine you need to have a certain palate. Red’s, White’s, Sweet & Sparkling, and Champagne.

Red Wine– Pairs well with red meat and cheeses that are bold, hearty and aged such as Cheddar or Gouda.

White Wine– Pairs well with chicken or fish. The nice thing about white wine is that it pairs well with just about any cheese. Cheddar, Gouda, Havarti, Monterey Jack, Muenster, Parmesan, and Swiss just to name a few.

Sweet and Sparkling Wines- If you are trying wine for the first time I suggest starting with a sweet wine. Starting with a sweet wine allows you to enjoy the taste of wine without the dryness wine tends to have. With sweet wines you still get your choice of Red and White.

Sparkling wine you start to get into more of the dry. Sparkling wine is also like Champagne in most ways.

Champagne– Is brut or dry and although it is considered a sparkling wine Champagne is its own.

Opici Sangria-White

Opici White Sangria– 7% alc vol

Opici White Sangria is made with Airen grapes blended with all-natural citrus fruits and spice extract.

With subtle tropical fruit flavors of banana, pineapple with a crisp aroma of orange and grapefruit and just a hint of peppermint.

Accented by notes of ginger and nutmeg on the finish.

This wine is best served chilled.

I enjoyed this by itself as well as in a mimosa. It is very sweet and fruity.

14 Hands Unicorn Rosé Bubbles– 13% alc vol

This is a refreshing sweet sparkling red blend in a can. With aromas of cranberry, cherry, and pomegranate. Who said wine can’t be fun in a can.

Even though it is a sweet sparkling wine it was still a little too dry for my tasting. However I still enjoyed it.

Stella Rosa NA Peach

Stella Rosa Peach non-alcoholic – and Stella Rosa Stella Peach 5% alc vol

Stella Rosa Stella Peach, is a refreshing semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine. This sweet white wine is so pure you won’t know you are drinking wine.

With a flavor profile of white peach and honey you can’t go wrong.

Stella Rosa Peach NA has the exact same flavor as the Stella Rosa Stella Peach minus the alcohol.

I said it once and I’ll say it again Stella Rosa is by far one of my favorite brands of wine. They are sweet and true to the flavor and can pair with just about anything.

Fly Bird Baja Lime Margarita – 15% alc vol

Fun fact, because of the way Fly Bird cocktails are crafted they can be classified as a cocktail because they are ready-to-go, pre-mixed cocktails or they can be labeled as a wine because they are made with 100% Mexican Agave Wine.

Baja Lime Margarita is made with all-natural ingredients.

Natural Lime Juice, Dried Orange, Cane Sugar, Agave Wine, Water

They also have these other flavors as well.

  • Pear
  • Passion Fruit
  • Strawberry
  • Blood Orange
  • Paloma Grapefruit

This was a nice addition to my wine collection as it is a cocktail/wine combo. I had this over ice with a splash of lime juice. Great flavor!
