Strawberry Moon
The full Moon in June is called Strawberry Moon. This moon got its name as June is the month to pick the ripened strawberries.

- The Anishinaabe call this moon- Blooming Moon as this is the flowering season
- The Cherokee call this moon- Green Corn Moon as a reminder this is the time to tend to the young crops of the season.
- The Western Abenaki call this moon- Hoer Moon for the same reason as the Cherokee call the Green Corn Moon, as this moon is a reminder that this is the time to tend to the young crops of the season.
- The Tlingit call this moon-Birth Moon as this is the season some animals are born.
- The Cree call this moon-Egg Laying Moon and Hatching Moon as this is also a time for many animal babies to be born.
