The nice thing about these meals is that they are easy and quick. Quesadillas are great for last-minute meals, meals on the go or even as a snack.

What is in a quesadilla? Cheese is the go-to, but how creative can you get with a quesadilla? We found out you can get pretty creative.

We have created some awesome tasting quesadillas and we hope you have as much fun making these as we did.


Folding Methods

There are many ways to fold your quesadilla, a few ways are listed below.

We have always done the quick and easy fold in half style but now are really fond of the 3-way triangle fold.

What is your favorite way to fold your quesadilla?


  • 2 Tortilla quesadilla
    • Butter first tortilla place in pan or on griddle
    • Add favorite ingredients
    • Butter second tortilla and place on top of first tortilla and flip.
  • Half fold
    • Butter one tortilla and place in pan or on griddle
    • Add favorite ingredients
    • Heat and fold
  • 3-way triangle fold
    • On a cutting board using one tortilla cut a slit starting in the middle down one side. (do not cut completely in half)
    • Place your favorite ingredients in each section
    • Start the first fold upwards
    • Second fold to the right
    • Third fold down
    • This creates a sandwich like quesadilla

Cooking-

When it comes to cooking quesadillas it’s a simple task, there is really nothing to it. You can cook it in a frying pan, on a griddle or in the microwave.


What you need:
  • Frying pan or griddle, Microwave
  • Spatula
  • Microwave safe plate
  • Butter, butter substitute, or cooking spray

Heat your frying pan on medium-low heat or heat your griddle to 350o


Time to Cook

Cooking quesadillas is not a science, it’s pretty simple.

Frying Pan or Griddle
  • 2 Tortilla quesadilla
    • Butter one side of tortilla and place in frying pan or on griddle
    • Add favorite ingredients and place second tortilla on top and butter.
    • Let cook for 2-5mins or until bottom tortilla is golden brown
    • Flip over and cook other side for same time or until golden brown.
    • Place on cutting board allow to cool 1-2mins. Cut with pizza cutter into triangles.
    • Eat and Enjoy!
  • Half Fold
    • Butter one side of tortilla and place in frying pan or on griddle
    • Add favorite ingredients, fold in half and butter.
    • Let cook 2-5mins or until bottom is golden brown
    • Flip over and cook other side for same time or until golden brown.
    • Place on cutting board allow to cool 1-2mins. Cut with pizza cutter into 3 triangles.
    • Eat and Enjoy!
  • 3-Way Triangle Fold
    • After preparing and folding your quesadilla into the triangle fold butter one side of quesadilla and place in frying pan or on griddle. Butter top half of triangle quesadilla
    • Let cook 2-5mins or until bottom is golden brown
    • Flip over and cook other side for same time or until golden brown
    • Put on plate and allow to cool 1-2mins
    • Eat and Enjoy!

Microwave
  • Microwave plate
  • place quesadilla on plate
  • 2 Tortilla quesadilla
    • Heat for 30secs
    • Place second tortilla on top immediately after removing from microwave
    • Smooth out to make sure top tortilla sticks to bottom tortilla
    • Let cool for 1-2mins
    • Cut into triangles
    • Eat and Enjoy!
  • Half fold
    • Heat for 30secs
    • Fold in half
    • Let cool for 1-2mins
    • Cut or pull apart as you eat it.
    • Eat and Enjoy!
  • 3-Way Triangle Fold
    • Heat for 20secs
    • Remove from microwave, place on cutting board and cut a slit starting in the middle. (Do not cut completely in half)
    • Start the first fold upwards
    • Second fold to the right
    • Third fold to down
    • Put back on plate and in microwave for 10-15secs. or until warm throughout.
    • Let cool 2-3mins
    • Eat and Enjoy!
