Do you remember finding those mini pigs in a blanket snack at parties? Have you ever seen them at Halloween when they are all dressed up? Well now you can make Mini-Mummy Pigs in a Blanket for your Halloween dinner or take to your next Halloween party.


Hot dogs are great for many things especially when you are on the go and need a quick meal. But Cocktail Wieners are just as great, and some forget all the things you can do with them. Folks they are not just for smothering in BBQ sauce and poking with fancy toothpicks. Just think of all the possibilities, let your imagination run wild. Especially at Halloween!


Mini Mummy Blankets

Mini-Mummy Pigs in a Blanket

Halloween wouldn't be complete without the Piggies getting all dressed up. The all-time favorite kids' meal Pigs in a Blanket. Halloween Style dressed as Mummies!

Equipment

  • 1 Cookie sheet
  • Tin foil or use non-stick cookie sheet
  • 1 Small cutting board
  • 1 knife

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Roll 8 count Croissants
  • 24 Cocktail wieners
  • 48 Small edible candy eyes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven to 350 °F or according to directions on Croissant package
  • Line your cookie sheet with foil or use non-stick cookie sheet and set aside
  • Get out a cutting board and knife, open the Croissants and take one Croissant and cut length wise 3 strips
    1 Roll 8 count Croissants
  • Gently roll each strip so they are about 8-9" long.
  • Dab the cocktail wieners with a paper towel as they can be a little wet from the juice inside the package.
    24 Cocktail wieners
  • Take a cocktail wiener and start at one end with the rolled Croissant and wrap until you get to the end. Then with the extra go back in the opposite direction to make it look like mummy wrappings.
    Repeat with remaining wieners.
  • Place the mummies on the cookie sheet making sure not to have them touch.
  • Bake for 10mins. or until the Croissant dough is nice and golden brown.
  • Take them out and let cool. Serve when warm to the touch.
  • Add edible small candy eyes or you can't poke holes with a toothpick in the Croissant for eyes. Both are cute and fun
