Easter Lamb Cake

An Easter Lamb Cake, has been a Easter family tradition dessert in my family for as long as I can remember.

It all started with a family friend of my grandparents, who every year would give them a Lamb Cake for the Easter Holiday.

It was the center piece at every Easter meal at my grandparents’ house. After dinner we would sit around for dessert, drinking coffee and when it was time to cut the cake, somehow, we would always end up playing with this lamb rather than actually eating it. The black jellybeans would mysteriously end up behind the lamb to make it look like, well yes you know, like poo. And then we would just sit there and start poking at it, then someone would always have to cut off the head.

This traidition still continues every Easter. We hope you enjoy these cakes as much as we do.
