Have you ever wondered why some drinks are called cocktails and others might be called Mixed Drinks?
Here are some pointers for you to determine if your favorite drink is actually a cocktail or mixed drink.
Mixed Drinks– are “one and-” so your Jack and Coke, Gin and Tonic, Rum and Coke. Or those drinks you get at Happy Hour that are well, like Vodka and Lemonade.
Cocktails– are “shaken not stirred”, so anything that has three or more liquors and a base liquid are considered cocktails as they take time to create and make, and usually require a cocktail shaker or stirred.
Creamy Cocktails
Salted Caramel Apple Mudslide
Equipment
- 1 Cocktail Shaker
- 1 Lowball cocktail glass
- 1 Stir stick
Ingredients
- 1 oz Kahlúa
- 1 oz Apple Vodka
- 1 oz Salted Caramel Liqueur or Irish Cream
- 2-3 cubes ice
Instructions
- In a lowball cocktail glass add all ingredients and mix with stir stick1 oz Kahlúa, 1 oz Apple Vodka, 1 oz Salted Caramel Liqueur
- Add ice serve and enjoy!2-3 cubes ice
Cocktail Shaker
- Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker and shake1 oz Kahlúa, 1 oz Apple Vodka, 1 oz Salted Caramel Liqueur, 2-3 cubes ice
- Pour into lowball cocktail glass, add more ice if desired
- Serve and Enjoy2-3 cubes ice
Pumpkin Slide
Equipment
- 1 Cocktail Shaker or Cocktail Stir Stick
- 1 Lowball cocktail glass
Ingredients
- 1 oz Kahlua Can opt for Pumpkin Kahlua for more pumpkin flavor
- 1 oz Pumpkin flavored Irish Cream
- 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
- ice
Instructions
Cocktail Shaker
- In a lowball cocktail glass add iceice
- Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker and shake to mix, pour into lowball glass and serve.1 oz Kahlua, 1 oz Pumpkin flavored Irish Cream, 1 oz Vanilla Vodka, ice
Lowball Cocktail Glass
- In a lowball cocktail glass add iceice
- Add all ingredients to lowball cocktail glass and stir with cocktail stir stick1 oz Kahlua, 1 oz Pumpkin flavored Irish Cream, 1 oz Vanilla Vodka, ice
- Enjoy!

Equipment
- 1 Cocktail Glass
- 1 Stir stick or Cocktail Shaker
Ingredients
- 1-2 ice cubes
- 1 oz Bailey's Apple Pie Liqueur
- 1 oz Caramel Vodka
- 1 oz Kahlua
Instructions
- In a cocktail glass add ice cubes1-2 ice cubes
- Pour Bailey's Apple Pie, Caramel Vodka and Kahlua over ice1 oz Bailey's Apple Pie Liqueur, 1 oz Caramel Vodka, 1 oz Kahlua
- Stir with cocktail stir stick and Enjoy!
Cocktail Shaker
- Add ice and all ingredients to cocktail shaker1-2 ice cubes, 1 oz Bailey's Apple Pie Liqueur, 1 oz Caramel Vodka, 1 oz Kahlua
- Shake until combined
- Put 1-2 ice cubes in cocktail glass1-2 ice cubes
- Pour drink over ice, serve and Enjoy!

- 1 oz Apple Vodka or 50ml shooter
- 1 oz Kahlúa or 50ml shooter
- 2-3 cubes ice

- In a lowball cocktail glass add all ingredients and mix with cocktail stir stick1 oz Baileys Apple Pie, 1 oz Apple Vodka, 1 oz Kahlúa
- Add ice cubes, serve and enjoy!2-3 cubes ice
Cocktail Shaker
- In a cocktail shaker add all ingredients including ice1 oz Baileys Apple Pie, 1 oz Apple Vodka, 1 oz Kahlúa, 2-3 cubes ice

- 1 Cocktail Glass or split shot glass
- 1 Stir stick
Ingredients
Cocktail Version
- 1 oz Ol' Smoky Tennessee Moonshine White Chocolate Strawberry and Cream
- 1 oz Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha
- 1 oz Heavy cream
- 1-2 cubes ice
Shot Version (measurement is for a half-n-half split shot glass)
- ¾ oz Ol' Smoky Tennessee Moonshine White Chocolate Strawberry and Cream if using regular shot glass use ½oz
- ¾ oz Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha if using regular shot glass use ½oz
Instructions
Cocktail Version
- In a cocktail glass or whiskey glass pour Ole Smoky Tennessee White Chocolate Strawberry Cream and Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha and heavy cream1 oz Ol' Smoky Tennessee Moonshine White Chocolate Strawberry and Cream, 1 oz Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha, 1 oz Heavy cream
- Stir with stir stick
- Add ice1-2 cubes ice
Shot Version
- In a half-n-half split shot glass add Ole Smoky Tennessee White Chocolate Strawberry Cream to one side, then Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha to the other side¾ oz Ol' Smoky Tennessee Moonshine White Chocolate Strawberry and Cream, ¾ oz Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha
- If using a regular shot glass use ½oz of each liqueur instead

- 1 Cocktail Shaker or stir sticks
Ingredients
- 1 oz Baileys Strawberries and Cream or Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine White Chocolate Strawberries and Cream
- 1 oz Kahlúa
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Heavy cream
- 1-2 cubes ice
- Pink Sugar Crystals
- 1 tsp Kayro Syrup or Simple Syrup
- Strawberries Fresh
Instructions
- 1 oz Baileys Strawberries and Cream, 1 oz Kahlúa, 1 oz Vodka, 1 oz Heavy cream, 1-2 cubes ice
- Pour a tsp of Kayro Syrup or Simple Syrup on a small plate and dip rim of glass making sure to cover rim of glass. Pour Pink sugar crystals onto another small plate and dip rim of glass making sure to cover the rim all the way aroundPink Sugar Crystals, 1 tsp Kayro Syrup or Simple Syrup
- Shake cocktail shaker and pour into prepared glass. Garnish with Fresh StrawberryStrawberries

- ½ can Cranberry Ginger Ale can substitute with cranberry juice and Sprite
- ¼ tsp Lemon juice

- In a lowball cocktail glass add all ingredients and mix with cocktail stir stick1 shot Wild Turkey 101 Whiskey, ½ can Cranberry Ginger Ale, ¼ tsp Lemon juice
