American Flag Fruit Pizza Dessert
A Patriotic take on the fruit pizza dessert. This festive dessert will be flying off the dessert table while the fireworks are lighting up the sky. The American Flag Fruit Pizza Dessert is a large cookie with cream cheese frosting and decorated with berries to look just like the American Flag.

Soft Sugar Cookie Dough
Equipment
- 1 Stand-up mixer You can use a electric hand mixer
- 1 Large mixing bowl
- 1-2 Cookie sheets
- Parchment paper You can also use silicone baking mat
- Cooling racks
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened at room temperature
- 1⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg room temperature
- 2½ tsp vanilla
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mat
- In a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer, or a stand-up mixer. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Do not over mix.1 cup butter, 1⅓ cup granulated sugar
- Add vanilla and egg, mix until combined.1 large egg, 2½ tsp vanilla
- Next, add baking soda and baking powder mix until combined.½ tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder
- Gradually add flour, making sure to mix completely before adding more flour.2½ cups all-purpose flour
- Make sure to scrape the side of the bowl often.
- Roll dough into 1" balls, or roll out to ⅜" thickness and use cookie cutters.
- Place on prepared cookie sheets and bake for 10-11mins, or until slightly golden brown around the edges.
- Do not over bake them or they will not be soft.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before moving to cooling racks.

Simple 3 Ingredient Cream Cheese Frosting
Equipment
- 1 Medium mixing bowl
- 1 Electric hand mixer

- 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp milk optional only use if frosting is too thick
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl using an electric hand mixer beat softened cream cheese until creamy.8 oz Cream Cheese
- Add vanilla extract mix until combined1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing thoroughly on medium to low speed. Do not use high speed as you do not want to over mix.½ cup Powdered Sugar
- Take a taste, if not sweet enough add more powdered sugar 1 tsp at a time until desired taste.
- If frosting is still too thick you can add a tsp of milk to thin it out. You should not need this but it is an option if the consistency is not what you are looking for.1 tsp milk
