I’m a sucker for sugary cereal, but I prefer my cereal dry and not in milk. Who said Rice Krispie treats were the only cereal you can have as a treat.

Equipment

• 1 Microwave safe bowl or large stock pot
• 1 Spatula
• 1 9×13 baking dish

Ingredients

  

1x2x3x

• 6 Cups Trix Cereal
• 3 Tbsp butter
• 16 oz Mini Fruity Marshmallows optional regular plain old white marshmallows.

Instructions

 

• In your microwave safe bowl add butter and 1 cup of marshmallows, melt for 1-2mins.
  3 Tbsp butter, 16 oz Mini Fruity Marshmallows
• Spray your spatula with cooking spray and stir the marshmallows and butter. Continue to add your marshmallows and melt for 1min intervals until all marshmallows are added and completely melted
• Add Trix cereal to marshmallows and fold together until they are completed covered
  6 Cups Trix Cereal
• Grease your 9×13 dish and spread Trix mixture evenly into the pan.
• Let bars cool for 20-40mins or overnight.

Notes

*** OPTIONAL***

Leave out about a 1/4 cup of marshmallows and add them after you have mixed in the Trix Cereal to the melted marshmallows and just toss them in and give one last fold before putting it into the pan.
